It has been about 20 years or so.

There was a time when keeping a blog was something that I did and enjoyed doing. Multiple posts a week for a wide variety of themes (mostly computer science and programming though). Discussions, coding charades, history, all sorts of ideas. It was fun.

I lost this habit. I could blame modern internet (Facebook, Twitter, distractions), but I would be lying. I’m no longer on any social network (besides Mastodon), so it wasn’t the time spend on these platforms that that kept me from writing. The reality is, I got lazy. Or worse, I got increasingly worried about the content of my posts: nothing seemed relevant enough, complex enough, cool enough. I let my thoughts on someone else’s hypothetical opinion block me from doing something I really enjoyed.

It is about time. I want to go back to putting my thoughts onto paper (keyboard). It doesn’t matter if there are plenty of better posts on the same subject, but only one post is mine, and that matters (for me).
